One controller to rule them all.
We didn't build another LED controller. We built an engine - the PFX Engine. Designed around automotive lighting from the ground up, it delivers insane customization, dynamic animations, and total control over your LEDs. Your lighting, your colors, your rules.
Custom designed PCB, Firmware, and Animation Language
Our controller flexes near instant feedback and inline editing due to owning the entire development process. PFX Engine talks in a custom language built for speed and efficiency.
Custom PCB - Custom Everything
We went through dozens of designs, refining every detail along the way. Custom PCB. Hand-coded firmware. A purpose-built language for maximum efficiency. Even this website was built from scratch… *cough* *cough* no Shopify template here.
Introducing Group Sync
Connect up to 10 cars with nearly 250 ft of range between each controller — enough for roughly 2,500 ft from the first car to the last. Sync the same animation across every car, or create one continuous animation that flows across the entire lineup, as shown above.
Password Protected
Tired of unwanted color changes? Password protect your controller to prevent malicious intent with your underglow settings.
The finishing touch.
At your fingertips.
Connect to the PFX LED controller through the Prismal PFX Engine app to choose colors and customize your lighting effects.
Your build sets the style. You set the glow.
Compatibility
The PFX controller works with 12 V, individually addressable RGB, RGBW, and RGB + dual white strips that use power, ground, and a single data wire. Match the IC printed on the strip or its product specifications to a profile below.
| LED strip / IC | PFX app profile | Color channels |
|---|---|---|
| WS2811 | WS2811 | RGB |
| WS2812B | WS2812B | RGB |
| SK6812 or LC8812 | SK6812 / LC8812 | RGB or RGBW |
| WS2814 | WS2814 (RGBW) | RGBW |
| WS2805 | WS2805 | RGB + warm/cool white |
| TM1829 | TM1829 | RGB |
| APA106 | APA106 | RGB |
| GS1903 | GS1903 | RGB |
| Other one-wire ICs | Generic 800 kHz or 400 kHz | RGB, RGBW, or RGB + dual white |
Check before connecting: The strip must accept 12 V and use one data wire. Four-wire clocked strips, analog RGB strips, and strips with a backup data input are not supported. IC names identify the signal protocol only; some strips using these IC families are sold for other voltages.
