LED Troubleshooting
Learn how to overcome common issues with the LED strips connected to the PFX controller.
LED Colors Not Correct
LEDs strips run different modules from time to time and may have the color order wrong. For example red might show up as blue or green as red. To fix this issue, connect to the controller and navigate to the settings page and find the 'LED Color Order' box under 'General'.
Once here, choose a color order and tap 'Test' to inspect the order. It will go solid red, green, then blue.
Animations Acting Up / Blank or White LEDs at End
This might be frustrating to see but the most common source of this issue is an incorrect LED count set on the controller.
To fix this issue, connect to the controller and navigate to the settings page and find the 'LED Count' box under 'General'.
Set this number to something small like 40 and progressively add 1 until the entire set of strips glow. Please note that some strips count 3 LEDs as one.
Flickering LEDs
This is a case of your LED strips being told incorrect data and is a simple fix.
To fix this issue, connect to the controller and navigate to the settings page and find the 'LED Strip Profile' box under 'Advanced'.
Change ONLY the 'Protocol family' setting to your strip IC type. If you do not know the IC type please select 'Generic 800hz' or 'Generic 400hz'. Some trial and error may be needed here.
Please note that advanced settings can be confusing. If you know what it means then have fun customizing if not, we advise leaving these at their defaults unless told to change them (like this guide).
